Estimates are where costings are made to the detail level and can be entered by the following types:
An active Estimate can be converted to a cost with the exception of the types Purchase and Cash Book which have to be created manually and the relevant job cost codes attached.
Steps
1. | Job Costing Transactions Estimates |
2. | Click New and select Job Number from the search window |
3. | Line Type - select the appropriate type e.g. Inventory , Labour, Resource etc. |
4. | Job No. - select from the search window or type in the full code |
5. | Item No - select from the search window attached to the field that changes depending of the Line Type selected |
6. | Transaction Date - defaults to the current login date. Change as required |
7. | Quantity - enter required value |
8. | Change Unit Cost, Mark Up % and Unit Charge as required |
9. | Repeat steps 2 to 8 |
10. | Save when complete |
